Notes: After a week of intermittent showers and storms and oppressive humidity, today dawned cooler and drier and just plain beautiful. While I was staring at the map trying to decide where to run today, Kate suggested taking the train someplace farther out. So we hopped on the M train down to Bensonhurst, and while I was checking out the neighborhood from street level Kate checked out breakfast and coffee at a local deli. I ran a back-and-forth route that took me between the northeast corner of Bensonhurst and the southeast edge of Mapleton, in Borough Park. No world-famous landmarks or super-exciting architecture this time out -- just great residential neighborhoods with lots of kids out on the sidewalks and bakeries and stores and Italian flags. A terrific run in a great neighborhood on a perfect day. Can't ask for much more than that.
